My 50th Birthday party was a high point in my life. So much love and appreciation ~ I am so grateful for the opportunity to expand into myself more and more and more. I stretched into my soul, my source energy, my love of life, love of family and community, love of Self.
In the past I would have spent much of my time making sure everything was running smoothly, hiding out in preparations and caring for details. I remember 15 years ago my former partner saying to me, when she gave me a compliment: “your job is to say ‘thank you,’ not to defer, or say something nice about me, just ‘thank you.’” It’s taken me years to actually be able to do that!
This time, at 50, I finally got it that night ~ I asked for acknowledgement and appreciation, and I opened to receive it. And in the asking, the giving, and the receiving a magic happened. We all went to such a high state ~ totally without alcohol~ and everyone floated on it. People have been telling ever since what a gift it was for them to feel the appreciation and energy, the love that was flowing.
Now I leave you with this prayer:
I am nourished by your LIGHT.
Shine it brighter ~ brighter ~ brighter ~
Let me wash myself in your radiance
Join with you in the flow of divine will
to shine brighter ~ brighter ~ brighter ~
